Pro bono work

In DJ at femto awardsWilliam spends about a quarter of his time on pro bono activities.

He is Deputy-President and President-Elect at the IET, an organisation with 150,000 members. He chairs the Audit and Finance committees, sits on the Remuneration Committee and multiple other panels.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering where he sits on the editorial panel of Ingenia, the Academy’s magazine and on multiple awards panels.

He is a Visiting Professor at Surrey University which hosts the 5G Innovation Centre. He has links to a number of other academic bodies.

He frequently undertakes ad-hoc activities such as assisting with particular reports and committees across Government, academia and Professional Institutions.
